Tomato Casserole


1 quart stewed tomatoes
¼ pound saltine crackers, broken up
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
butter

Put 1/3 of the saltine crackers in the bottom of a buttered casserole dish. Layer ½ of the stewed tomatoes, ½ of the cheese and ½ of the remaining crackers. Repeat with the rest of the tomatoes, cheese and crackers, ending with a layer of crackers. Dot the top with butter and bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour.
